{"id":80,"date":"2008-07-15T09:39:46","date_gmt":"2008-07-15T14:39:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/salfass.org\/sportas\/?p=80"},"modified":"2008-07-15T09:41:54","modified_gmt":"2008-07-15T14:41:54","slug":"snow-ski-trip-lake-tahoe-march-21-28-2009","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.salfass.org\/sportas\/snow-ski-trip-lake-tahoe-march-21-28-2009\/","title":{"rendered":"Snow ski trip to Lake Tahoe &#8211; March 21-28, 2009"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This coming winter&#8217;s <em>Siaure Amerikos Lietuviu Fizinio Auklejimo ir\u00a0 Sporto Sajunga<\/em> (SALFASS) &amp; <em>Amerikos Lietuviu Gydytoju\u00a0Associacija<\/em> (ALGS) &#8211; snow ski trip is\u00a0to the\u00a0beautiful Heavenly Mountain Ski Resort in South\u00a0Lake Tahoe, California\u00a0over Spring Break during March 21-28, 2009 !!!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Lithuanian World Ski Championships,\u00a0organized by <em>Pasaulio Lietuviu Kalnu Slidinejimo Federacija<\/em> (PLKSF), are\u00a0being held during that same week in conjunction with SALFASS and ALGS.<\/p>\n<p>As in the past,\u00a0there will be hundreds of sports enthusiasts from Lithuania and around the world\u00a0attending and having a great time. Both skiers and non-skiers and their families are welcome!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>ACCOMODATIONS AND OTHER INFORMATION:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>We highly recommend the &#8220;Embassy Suites Hotel&#8221; which is directly adjacent to the Heavenly Ski Resort gondola. A complimentary full breakfast buffet &amp; happy hour drinks and\u00a0appetizers have been arranged for our group. Time: TBD. Suggested\u00a0 lunch\u00a0at the &#8220;Lakeview Lodge Food Court&#8221; @ noon located at the top of the Aerial Tram. Suggested Happy Hour at the Embassy Suites Hotel.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Thursday, March 26th:<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Suggested ski day at Squaw Valley Ski Resort in North Lake Tahoe, former site\u00a0of the 1960 Winter Olympics. We have bus transportation leaving Embassy Suites Hotel for Squaw Valley in the morning and then returning via scenic sightseeing boat across Lake Tahoe!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Suggested lunch to be at Squaw Valley&#8217;s\u00a0&#8220;Alexander&#8217;s Cafe &amp; Bar&#8221; at the top of the Cable Car\u00a0@ noon. Non-skiers can ride the Cable Car to the top of the mountain for lunch and sightseeing.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Friday, March 27th: <\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Suggested ski day at Heavenly Mountain with lunch at the &#8220;Adventure Peak Grill&#8221; at the top of the gondola. Non-skiers can ride the gondola to the top of the mountain for lunch and sightseeing.
