ŠALFASS 2022 was a great success, with fun had by all. Miraculously, only the final two groups on Sunday were affected by rain, even though the forecast was predicting rain all weekend. The competition and camaraderie were great.
Team Green won the Championship with 38.5 points, receiving first place medals and cash awards, with Team Red finishing second with 29 points, receiving 2nd place medals. Match results are posted in the ŠALFASS RESULTS link on this web page.
Raimundas Čepelė won the putting contest, while Rytas Kleiza won the chipping contest after Saturday’s round. The proximity winners and long drive winners can be found on the ŠALFASS RESULTS page.
We had a total of 34 players (17 CLGK, 10 non CLGK members from Chicagoland, 5 from Toronto, 2 from Florida, and 1 from Cleveland).
At the awards banquet on Sunday our Canadian friends said that they were considering having next years ŠALFASS.
